Navy Blue Bathrooms
Have you noticed that navy blue bathrooms are taking over Pinterest? They are on my feed anyway, and I love it.
Remember my bathroom reno that had stalled because I couldn’t find the right wallpaper? Well, it’s been about a year and I still haven’t found “the one”. So when the navy blue bathrooms commenced their world takeover, I started thinking that I might be feeling the blues.
This one is not actually blue, it’s chalkboard paint, but it gives a blue vibe to me.
I love that the deep blue add a kind of instant sophistication to a sometimes very unsophisticated room. It also seems so glam to have a navy bathroom, or maybe it just makes everything look more glamourous? Plus, my floor tiles have a navy blue vein running through them, so it’s kind of perfect.
The only thing I’m worried about is that I don’t want it to feel suffocating when I go in there. It’s such a small space and there is only one tiny window. I guess, if I don’t like it, it’s just paint, right? When I find the wallpaper I want I can just install it directly over the walls, regardless of the paint color.
I think it’s a good “in the meantime” solution so that I don’t go crazy with a half-done room. I can’t wait to show you what it looks like.
Have you painted any bold or super dark rooms? What did you think of it when it was done? Any problems or issues I should consider?
ooox,
Nicole
